Peer Review Policies

Scholarly Peer Review Process

The journal uses double-blind peer review: authors' identities are withheld from reviewers, and reviewers' identities are withheld from authors.

General steps:

  • Initial screening: compliance with scope, general format, and ethical standards.
  • Referral for review: at least two specialist reviewers.
  • Editorial decision: acceptance, acceptance after revisions, re-review after substantial revisions, or rejection.

Confidentiality of Peer Review

All submitted materials, peer review work, and related correspondence are confidential. Authors may not share the content or reuse it before publication except with written permission from the Editorial Board.

Right of Response and Appeal

This right is guaranteed within a specified period from the date of the decision, provided that the appeal includes:

  • Clear scholarly points responding to the reviewers' comments.
  • Evidence of a methodological misunderstanding or a substantive error in the evaluation. The Editorial Board will consider the appeal through an independent referral when necessary, without any guarantee that the decision will be changed.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal maintains the integrity of the scholarly record. If, after publication, the following is discovered:

  • A non-substantive error: a correction will be published.
  • A substantive error, misrepresentation, or ethical violation: the article will be retracted following an editorial investigation. The researcher will bear the full costs of publication and peer review, will not be entitled to publish again in the journal, and the researcher's employer will be informed of the violation and the supporting evidence.

Privacy and Data Protection

The journal uses authors' and reviewers' data only for editorial management and peer review purposes. It does not share such data with any third party except to the extent technically necessary to operate the journal platform and with the minimum amount of data required.

Publication Fees

Publication in the journal is free of charge.
