Publication Policies

The journal adopts Arabic as its primary language and accepts research in English and French. Research translated into Arabic may be published after obtaining the approval of the original author or rights holder, provided that scholarly translation standards are observed. Every manuscript must include two abstracts: one in the language of the manuscript and one in Arabic.

Types of Material Published by the Journal

Depending on the issue plan and the needs of the scholarly dossier, the journal publishes:

  • Original theoretical research.
  • Applied research, including case studies and documented field reports.
  • Framing articles commissioned by the Editorial Board.
  • Selected scholarly translations of foundational or contemporary texts within the journal's scope.

All published material is subject to the journal's editorial and peer review policies, unless expressly stated otherwise in a special section, such as an editorial.

General Conditions for Acceptance

Submissions for publication must meet the following conditions:

  • Originality and novelty, with a clear contribution to the development of knowledge or practice in the journal's field of interest.
  • Soundness of scholarly method and accuracy of citations and references.
  • Clarity of language, coherence of structure, and adherence to research ethics.
  • Relevance of the topic to the journal's scope and objectives.

Originality and Non-Duplication

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the author acknowledges the following:

  • That the work has not previously been published as a peer-reviewed research article and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
  • That quotation and reuse have been carried out in accordance with scholarly rules and in a manner that does not result in duplicate publication.

Scholarly Authorship and Contributions

  • The journal recognizes that scholarly authorship is both a responsibility and a trust, and that contributions must be attributed to those who actually made them.
  • Each author must have made a genuine scholarly contribution to the idea or design of the study, or to data collection, analysis, or interpretation; must have participated in writing or reviewing the text; must have approved the final version; and must accept responsibility for its content.
  • Contributions by non-authors, such as language review, technical support, funding, and similar assistance, should be mentioned in the acknowledgments section.

Plagiarism and Similarity Policy

  • The journal is committed to combating plagiarism in all its forms. Submissions are subject, when necessary, to similarity checks using appropriate tools, in addition to scholarly assessment by reviewers.
  • If substantial plagiarism is established, the work will be rejected immediately.
  • If correctable quotation or documentation issues are found, the author will be asked to amend them before the peer review process continues.

Conflicts of Interest and Funding

Authors must disclose:

  • Any potential conflict of interest, whether financial, institutional, or personal, that may affect the research results or their interpretation.
  • Sources of funding or support, and the role of the funder, if any. The Editorial Board and reviewers are likewise required to disclose conflicts of interest and to decline participation when such conflicts exist.

Research Ethics and Treatment of Participants

When a manuscript includes field data, interviews, classroom observation, or school-based applications, it must:

  • Describe informed consent procedures, privacy protection, and participant safety, especially where children are involved.
  • Refer to approvals from relevant bodies if such approvals are required in the researcher's context. If no formal ethics committee exists at the researcher's institution, the researcher must provide a clear ethics statement explaining the safeguards followed.

Data and Appendices Policy

  • The journal encourages making available data, educational tools, and appendices that enhance verifiability and reuse, whenever possible and without compromising participant privacy or intellectual property rights.
  • If availability is not possible, the reason must be clearly stated.
  • Tools, including forms, protocols, and questionnaires, should be attached when they have scholarly value.
